Craig Standen has deep knowledge of the healthcare and nonprofit sectors having spent over 27 years working with health systems and nonprofit organizations on developing strategic asset allocations, accessing the debt markets, and executing partnerships & affiliations.

 

Craig joined BlackRock’s Family Office, Foundation, Endowment, and Healthcare team in July 2024, and is focused on expanding relationships with healthcare providers by delivering customized and holistic investment solutions that drive business success.

 

Prior to BlackRock, Craig was a Principal in Mercer’s Healthcare Practice where he was tasked with growing new and managing existing healthcare clients. And from 2019 to 2024, Craig was Senior Healthcare Strategist at Vanguard where he built and launched a service offering that leveraged deep health sector knowledge and delivered customized strategic asset allocations.

 

Craig was Director of Healthcare Advice for SEI Investments from 2013 to 2019 and worked with healthcare and nonprofit clients to develop strategic asset allocations that linked organizational risk tolerance and enterprise goals. And prior to joining SEI, Craig was a healthcare investment banker with Ziegler Investment Banking for over 16 years.

 

Craig is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Philadelphia, the Bond Club of Philadelphia, and the finance committee of Hospital Sisters Health System, based in Springfield, IL. Craig has an MBA with a finance concentration from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and a BA in economics from Cornell University. Craig served as a commissioned officer in the US Navy with almost five years of active duty and eight years in the US Naval Reserves.
