Craig Standen has deep knowledge of the healthcare and nonprofit sectors having decades of experience working with health systems and nonprofit organizations on developing strategic asset allocations, accessing the debt markets, and executing partnerships & affiliations.

 

Craig joined BlackRock in July 2024 as a Managing Director in the Client Solutions Group where he is focused on building and expanding relationships with nonprofit hospitals and health systems by delivering customized and holistic investment solutions that drive business success.

 

Prior to BlackRock, Craig was a Principal in Mercer’s Healthcare Practice, and from 2019 to 2024, Craig was Senior Healthcare Strategist at Vanguard where he developed and launched a service offering that delivered customized, enterprise-focused strategic asset allocations to healthcare providers.

 

Craig was Director of Healthcare Advice for SEI Investments from 2013 to 2019, and prior to joining SEI, Craig was a healthcare investment banker with Ziegler Investment Banking for over 16 years.

 

Craig is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Philadelphia, the Bond Club of Philadelphia, and the finance committee of Hospital Sisters Health System, based in Springfield, IL.

 

Craig has an MBA with a finance concentration from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and a BA in economics from Cornell University. Craig served as a commissioned officer in the US Navy with almost five years of active duty and eight years in the US Naval Reserves.
