Managing Director, Co-CIO of BlackRock Active Equity and CIO of Fundamental Active Equity Emerging Markets

Belinda Boa, Managing Director, is Co-Chief Investment Officer of BlackRock's Active Equity & CIO of Fundamental Active Equity Emerging Markets, where she is responsible for delivering investment excellence and success in the region, including overseeing regulated investor activities. Her role encompasses all areas of the Active Investment business, including Fundamental and Scientific Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Boa was the Head of Risk and Quantitative Analysis for Asia Pacific where she was responsible for all areas of risk across the region. Ms. Boa worked in quantitative finance in South Africa and for over 15 years in London, leading Risk and Quantitative Research teams for equity businesses.

Ms. Boa is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the London Quant Group. Ms. Boa earned her degree with honours in Finance and Statistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1995.
