Helen Jewell
Global Director of Research for Fundamental Equities, Head of Portfolio Management
Helen Jewell, CFA, is the Global Director of Research for Fundamental Equities and also heads the Data Strategy and Research team across PMG. In this role, she partners with the CIOs and investment leaders across the division to develop strategies to enhance and scale fundamental research processes and ensure investors have access to outstanding research and data to help them make the best investment decisions for clients.
Within this role, Ms. Jewell has been responsible for creating connectivity across all of FAE's research teams, developing and building tools such as Aladdin Research to systematically connect BlackRock's investors. She is also responsible for considering the appropriate strategy to evolve FAE's research capabilities to fully integrate ESG as well as ensure it leverages all relevant information such as alternative data. Through her role, Helen partners with investors across all asset classes of the business and as well as those in BIS, BSI, and Aladdin to ensure investors have access to outstanding research to make the best decisions for its clients. Helen is a member of the European Executive Investment Committee, the Fundamental Active Equities Executive Committee and is Co-Chair of the BlackRock Women's Network in EMEA.
Before joining BlackRock, Helen was Deputy Director of Research at Goldman Sachs where she had responsibility for talent development and regulatory issues and was part of the EMEA Investment Review Committee. Ms. Jewell earned a BA degree in Mathematics from Oxford University.
