Samantha Ricciardi
Samantha Ricciardi, Managing Director, is the BlackRock Country Head of Mexico and member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee and Latin America and Iberia Regional Executive Committee.
Prior to assuming her current role in February 2013, Ms. Ricciardi became Head of Sales in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean in April 2012, responsible for both distribution and management of the Retail, iShares, and Institutional relationships in the region. Ms. Ricciardi joined BlackRock in October 2010 as Head of Retail and Institutional Sales for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Before joining BlackRock, Ms. Ricciardi served as Mexico Country Head for Schroders since 2009. She joined Schroders in 2003 as a senior relationship manager for the Global Financial Institutions Group in London. She moved to Mexico in 2007, to design and implement Schroder’s business restructuring as well as develop partnerships with key players in the Mexican institutional client segment. Ms. Ricciardi began her career working for Citi in London covering mutual funds in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
Ms. Ricciardi received a MSc degree in management from the London School of Economics in 1998 and a BA degree in international relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 1997. At BlackRock, she also serves as the Head of BlackRock’s Woman’s Initiative Network (WIN) in Latin America and Iberia as well as a member of the global WIN steering committee. Ms. Ricciardi is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Italian.
