Catherine Kress

Catherine Kress is the Head of Geopolitical Research & Strategy at BlackRock. In this role, she leads the development of the firm's geopolitical views and liaises with BlackRock's investors and key stakeholders on matters of geopolitical importance. Catherine is also a member of BlackRock's External Affairs organization, helping to coordinate the firm's management of key policy issues.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Catherine worked on Eurasia Group’s Global Strategy and Analytics team, where she oversaw the firm’s comparative research and drove strategic initiatives on behalf of the founder and president. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Psychology and Anthropology, Catherine completed an MSc in African Studies at Oxford University, where she was a Clarendon Scholar.
