Federico Moncaleano

Federico Moncaleano, CFA, CAIA, Managing Director, is the Head of the Wealth and Institutional businesses for LatAm, responsible for overseeing both the wealth and institutional distribution businesses in the region. Mr. Moncaleano is a member of the Latin America ExCo and Operating Committee.

Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Moncaleano was responsible for the Wealth business and was also Head of Strategy for Latin America. Mr. Moncaleano also led the Offshore Wealth business for Latin America. Previously, he was the Deputy COO for BlackRock's Latin America business, where he was responsible for overseeing and driving the firm's business and strategy across the region. Previously, Mr. Moncaleano led the BlackRock Alternatives Specialist (BAS) team in Latin America where he was responsible for developing BlackRock's alternatives business in Latin America, working closely with the local relationship managers, and the broader BAS and BAI organizations. Mr. Moncaleano joined BlackRock as part of the Latin America Institutional Client Business, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Official Institutions across Latin America.

Mr. Moncaleano earned a BS degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and management and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
