Matthew Rauseo, Managing Director, is the co-head of the DC Institutional Client Business. His team is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional plan sponsor clients, and is also responsible for leading the consultant relations efforts for defined contribution. Additionally, he serves as a thought leader on industry trends and delivers BlackRock's investment capabilities to the firm's clients.

 

Prior to re-joining BlackRock in 2019, Matt was a senior member of AQR Capital Management's Institutional Business Development team and was responsible for institutional defined contribution. He joined AQR in 2015 to work with plan sponsors and consultants while also conducting research on retirement investing. Before AQR, Matt spent thirteen years at BlackRock in a variety of roles including Senior Investment Strategist for LifePath®, BlackRock's target date series.

 

Matt has been published in the Journal of Retirement and the book "How Persistent Low Returns Will Shape Savings and Retirement" by Oxford University Press and has been cited in both the Economist and the Wall Street Journal. Matt earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
